Author Guidelines

Writing Guidelines

Article which has been submitted to National Security Journal is a result of a research, critical analysis of relevant topic of national security issues. The proposed article shall be an unpublished work on other journal. The scope of the journal is terrorism, insurgency, Police, Military, Social Conflict, brawl, and other relevant topic. Article could written on Indonesian Language or English Language  with good structure.

1. General Guidelines

Script should using MS Word application, with Times New Roman Font, with size of 12 pts or Book Antiqua with size of 11 pts, A4 paper format, 1-5 Space, direct citation, one space typed – appx. 20-25 pages (exclude references). Submission of the script should be done online on National Security Journal website (http://jurnal.ubharajaya.ac.id/index.php/kamnas ) with initial registration. 2. Script Format

Script should arranged on format: Title (Indonesian / English Language with two keywords), Preface, Methods, Discussion, and Conclusion, Acknowledgement (optional), References, Table and Picture list. An invited Script are not bound to previous format.

Title

Each title should composed briefly and informatively – bolded with capital letter on beginning on each work, exclude preposition and conjunction.  Writer are advised to unutilized abbreviation and extraneous formulation. Name of the author should completed without any abbreviation on the bottom of the title. Full name, affiliated center and address of the writer should written sequentially after the title. Please add email address on the writer name for communication purpose. Personal address should contain completed and distinct postal address. 

Abstract and Keywords

Abstract reflected overall substation and should not contain references. Abstract should written briefly on one paragraph with maximum 200 words only. Abbreviation and extraneous formulation are not recommended. Abstract should e done on dual language, Indonesian Language and English. 0

Keywords written after abstract with 5 words maximum, separate with comas (,), each in Indonesian language or English.

3. Primary Script

Preface section should contain research background, a brief literature review which explaining about state of art of the research and purposes of the research.

Method Section should contain substance/material on the research. The method of the research should stated explicitly in order to ensure reproduceable capability of the obtained result. If the submitted script is an expanded wokrs, description of submitted model and how the model evaluated should also be stated.

Discussion section should presenting result of the research (expantion of the model) or systematical and constructive analysis and also equipped with comprehensive discussion.

Conclusion section should based on the purpose of the research and contain conclusion of the research in general without any abstract repetition.

4. References

References section should contaion reputable sources (primary, up-to-date and relevant) only. References should based on Turabian Sixth Edition model, arranged alphabeticaly with writer last name only. Internet-based references should based on official sources only.

Submission Preparation Checklist

  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
